About ZUM

ZUM is technically a release label created—with some unprecedented help from Path—for some re-releases of old titles I (kureshii) had in mind. It’s not quite a group per se; nobody really runs the place.
But somewhere along the way, Sukoshi and mktn hopped aboard, we picked up Mawaru Penguindrum (now dropped) and got a release blog up and running (courtesy of mktn), so I guess we’re probably more like a fansub group than I would care to acknowledge.

Short group history

24 Jan 2011 #ZUM registered by Path, beginning a series of historical trip-ups that eventually lead to us being pulled into subbing.

19 Jul 2011 ZUM gets its first release blog.

11 Sep 2011 Chaos|Theory (Southrop) and Mastodon Infantry Internationale (IX) merged with ZUM. We’ve known each other for quite some time and worked on Eve no Jikan together before, so it was bound to happen sooner or later.
